Australia could be the first country in the world to eliminate hepatitis C.

There is a CURE and Australia's Biggest Quiz helped more Australians to start talking about it!

The historic public health goal was brought to the fore in 2022's nationwide, world-record-breaking trivia event, Australia's Biggest Quiz.

The inaugural event took place on 26 October 2022, in 16 locations across Australia and virtually, with more than a hundred community groups and organisations supporting the events on the ground. 

TV personality, Jan Fran hosted the live event from Blacktown Workers Club. The event was broadcast live to thousands of players at live and online locations Australia-wide. 

The event was a huge success in raising awareness of hepatitis C and its cure:

• 85% of quiz players reported an increase in their awareness of hepatitis C and its cure
• 59% of quiz players said they have or will speak with others about hepatitis C and its cure
